Even I admit that this was unexpected by taking a crazy party beatdown song like this and completely turn it to a slower pace and almost acoustic flow. SWEET and definitely UPLIFTED! I don't how to make music but got the ears for it. If it's me, I would try adding some keys in it and see what happens. The drums are sweet but I would like it a little louder but that's my opinion. You keep it up the good work!2009-11-26 04:36:47 Flag Comment As Inappropriate

Cool! What I mean with more work is, getting them into the track, and make them follow the rest of the track.Like on your other remix, the drums are "weak" compared to the other track and kind of in the background, when they should (my opinion) should be more up front and be drummed like you're smashing the face in, on the man who just killed your kids/mom/whatever. So they fit the guitars. :)
On this mix I think the drums are too neutral actually. I think you could do 2 things with em on this. You could make them kinda jazzy with very low velocity hits, and some nice fills here and there to mix it up a bit.
Or you could go the Big Beat way, where you make it ultra big. With the snare so distorted that you almost Vomit, to like create some opposites in the mix. I'm just ranting now.
But overall I think the drums needs some more mixing work as well.. I tend to mix without the drums without the plugs in AD, because I don't think they do the drum samples justice.
Good luck, mate :)

Thanks for the feedback guys, for strings i use an old plugin called Edirol Orchestral, i love the sounds so i've stuck with it.Interesting about the drums, cause i've been using Addictive drums and a midi controller/midi files but i've just bought an Alesis DM5 Pro so i'm gonna be playing my drums. Might have to re work these songs.

Same criticism as on your newer mix. The drums need more work. They kinda dull the mix in my opinion. Its like you have a good track laid out and you decide to add drums, out of necessity, but you don't really work with them.( My opinion :)
Would be cool with a few alternate melodies on top of the main progression, as well. Would definitely spice the mix up quite a bit.
May I ask what you used for these strings? 'Cause they sound pretty good & clear..
Nice mellow track.

Yeah, kinda gets a bit tired after, ummm, not very long. The concept is great but the product not so much. (just my opinion, of course.)2009-11-13 05:50:36 Flag Comment As Inappropriate

You managed to change the feeling completely. I would love to hear some bass playing and a harp if it was for me. Nice work.2009-11-12 09:42:43 Flag Comment As Inappropriate

Simply beautiful. When the chorus vox kicked in I was blown away. The simplicity of this track is a perfect example that it doesn't always need to be insanely busy. The only thing I could possibly recommend is maybe a little more "kick" on the drum beat (nothing intense, just something to make my speakers thud a bit).2009-11-09 21:52:42 Flag Comment As Inappropriate

Nice use of strings. It acts as a good counterpoint to your Louder Than Words mixes.2009-11-09 20:56:10 Flag Comment As Inappropriate

No problem, i guess some people think music should always be busy. I notice many remixes try to put too many techniques & ideas into one song, i prefer not to overdo it, i suppose it's a love or hate thing. lol2009-11-09 19:53:34 Flag Comment As Inappropriate

I was expecting a lot more from this mix. It's gets boring and repetitive. Sorry man, it started off great. I just lost interest.2009-11-09 19:30:31 Flag Comment As Inappropriate
