wow, awesome feedback indigo - i need feedback like this to improve and to get better. Well, as you said, youre studying production techniques - i dont do ;) i´m just a 18 y-old boy who has some music-ideas which i want to share with some some interessted artists...i did my best and of course here are many professional musicians - i dont count myself to them, i just love to make music as good as i can (at home .. )
anyway, thx for your nice feedback, need more of this ^^
greetings
I'll be straight up with you, I think the first couple seconds could be a lot stronger. Maybe just by adding a low, evolving pad to give the sound just a little more depth?
Also, around the 2:20 mark, I feel like the orchestral strings aren't interesting enough to have the prominence they do. I would recommend either fading them back and letting something else replace them or giving them some character.
Even just a shorter attack and release (or a simple noise gate to do the same thing) with maybe a bit of modulation could help, methinks. Make them stab a bit more. And maybe while you're at it filter off the low end of that track to give a little more room for everything else to sit. (I'm still putting in many hours every night studying production techniques, though, so take my advice with a grain of salt ;))
Anyway, them's my thoughts for improvement.
I really like the bass at 1:14 and following and I like how the kick crackles (at least in my chincy headphones =P). And it all sits and flows well together. Hope this has helped!
you've done it man! Tottaly blew my speakers ... now i have to go find new ones :D
The is the best this remix is gonna get.
Best of luck!
Ohh and screw you downraters fro me too :D 5/5

Pretty good! Creative, great production and arrangement. Maybe something more could've been done with the drums.2010-06-08 18:29:57 Flag Comment As Inappropriate

like skylift said, something is missing... the beat is awesome, the production is great, it feels a little empty. 4 stars2010-06-08 13:34:13 Flag Comment As Inappropriate

I really like mix and the strings towards the end really lift the track and make it much more epic.Great work.

Something is missed...We think that piano and some pads would work fine...
Otherwise not bad, 3 stars from us.
P.S. Feel free to check out our mix.

Nice rhythm - it's kinda like that current pointy USA R&B but excellently out of place. Like that a lot.I agree about the strings comment. Fiddle with some chords till you find some that ONLY JUST work. Those are always good :)
I DO think it needs more depth - what I mean is you hear this once and you've heard all of it: Everything is in the foreground.
Nice job though, so far. You might change stuff so I won't rate it yet. At the moment I'd say 3*. I reckon you can get to 4.

Creative mix. It is allocated from all with the unusual approach. It is pleasant to me!!! 5\5If you want, I have completed 2 mixes on TBIGG and they are already presented on a site. It would be desirable your opinion on these two mixes))
