I did not actually. I compressed some parts as a whole. The vocals have loose compression on all tracks, but the instruments are split into drums and instruments (so 2 compressor aux). I use Maxim RTAS mostly, and on this track it's indeed not really compressed. I will try and get some compression done on it soon to see if it works out well :)

Just love the direction you took with this remix-fantastic job. It sounds like you could give this track some snap and make it really stand out with better compression and maximizing. Did you use compressors on each channel? What settings were your limiter/expander on? Nice remix-5 stars from me!

The vocals are a bit hard to work with for softer styles. So piano and violin versions would be tough to make! Perhaps something like you did with Live the Life? That style could fit this :) Anyhow, good luck!

First time to be the first for a contest... feels strange somehow. It wasn't my favorite track to start with, but I actually grew into it more and more when I started working on it. It's a simple mix based on a hiphop project I was doing in the meanwhile, also in F minor. This takes parts of those melodies and combines them with new ones and the lyrics into the mix! Enjoy and have fun with the contest :)
