Remix Discussion
TweakerRay [FiXT] :
I've listened to this and commented on your second version O_o so this is what I thought to this version:Cool Sounds. Nice DnB Elements + Heavy Metal + Dubstep ;-) A lot of things going on in your remix. I like the edits and the wobble sounds and guitars. What I think is lacking in this mix is that on some times the drums are burried by your bass. Overall a good production. I would give 4.5 for this because I am missing a clean impact of the drums and they should have been mixed more into front.
Good Luck
Cheers TweakerRay [FiXT]

Hey Red Online! Here is my thoughts on your remix...[pluses and minuses]
+The synths you used were very nice, love how it adds to the feel.
+Those drums you have are NICE! Very powerful and very clean!
-The dubstep. I really hate to say this, but I think this is what killed your chances of winning top 3 with your Blue Stahli "Anti You" remix. When you use the dubstep wobble, sometimes it's too low, buried under EVERYTHING else, or being played WITH everything else. This is not good. If you pay close attention to how Blue Stahli and Celldweller merge dubstep in their industrial sound, they "alternate" the styles. However you do not. You smash them together most times in your remix and it is not good. At times now, you do have it either by itself, or accompanied by drums, or drums and a bit of ambience, which is good. But other most times while the mix is going good and everything is greatly flowing together, you push the wobble in that area and it hurts the mix. You must learn to alternate the styles and not try to have them all playing at once, otherwise your future mixes will all be the same, and not get better. Espeically if your using dubstep with a bitcrusher. Adding a bitcrusher boosts ALL high end frequencies[from what I've learned] and the core dubstep itself is already boosted in the low and mid frequencies. So generally speaking by defualt a dubstep wobble with a bitcrisher attached to it takes most of the frequency range already. So you can only try to push drums, or drums and a bit of ambience behind it. Not synths, orchestral, guitars, distortion synths, drums and everything else also. Muddies the mix and makes is not "balanced" or "clear sounding". Also the way your mix is, it's dark and aggressive, so aggressive wobbles should be used a bit more.
I hope my criticism helped. If it didn't I am sorry. If you believe your mix is fine the way it is, it is entirely up to you. Overall it is a very nice and unique remix, but there are some errors I feel that are there that could greatly improve the mix if they were touched up on.
Till next time.

Magnificent work! It was pretty good the whole time, but as soon as the song got to the part of your WIP, around the 3 minute mark, my mind was blown. That part just makes the whole song for me, amazing work!2012-02-19 05:05:58 Flag Comment As Inappropriate

Impressive production and great variety and hybrid elements. I'm not that fond of some parts and some weak drums at certain points but overall still one of the best.2012-02-18 10:32:41 Flag Comment As Inappropriate
