@Obviously Twins: Yeah, the bridge needed some work...was thinking of using some Melodyne on the vocals to help it fit better, but the DAW broke down before I could explore the idea. I agree about the even levels...was at the point of getting them sorted to adjust some here and there, but the DAW thing interfered with that too. I also agree that it needed further audio "treats" for the listener. A broken DAW certainly left this fairly unfinished. Will try to do better next time, eh?

@TweakerRay: Thanks mate! All I'm hoping to do here is improve. I guess for a third try at remixing something it turned out OK (thanks for the 3 stars, wasn't even sure if would rate that high for most people), so it shows me that the idea was good, but just needed some more work with the overall production to get that finished feel to it. I hope I get my PC FiXT soon too, lol!

@The Skylift: Thanks for the positive feedback and comments, they're much appreciated for sure. I'm beginning to think that when I get the technical issues with my mixes improved I might just have a shot at getting one in the running for voting someday.

@All: Thanks again, guys...overall, even with equipment failures, this has been a positive experience for me. Will check out all your remixes when I get the chance to...looking forward to hearing them and the rest.

As to the remix...

Quite nice feel, but we think that you should add some e-piano, it will work great in our opinion.

The ending is really nice too.

Yes, it lacks some dynamics and air and bla-bla-bla but the idea is quite nice.

Sounds like a sountrack to the winter day (that's just our picture)

3 stars for this one because of the technical side.

And we wish you the best with your DAW.

The overall idea of this mix is cool...

I just can second Obviously Twins comment. Some things really remember me to some Depeche Mode... There are plenty of good Ideas, but you hear that this is not the finished product. So It's hard to rate it.
The end has a little "Euro-Dance-flair to me..." (It's just my oppinion)

I also give a strong 3 Points

These remix shows that you are hardly working on your style and production-techniques and your getting much better...

I'm sorry to hear about the DAW, that kind of crap is always really frustrating. I like the feel of the intro, it feels like a more layered Depeche Mode, now as I type that I see them among your influences-good.

I dig the synth break at 2:15. It gives it a good energy.

The bridge section at 3:23 sounds good here and there, but the key you wanted to change to seems forced. If you had Melodyne, I think that section could be incredible.

Overall the mix isn't very dynamic, fairly even levels (definitely not my preference). It sounds good, and has a good feel to it. I'd like to see some more ideas, I felt that it dragged on too long to get not too far.

I give it an extremely solid 3. Easily a 4 with some alterations.

Let me know what you think of my mix if you'd like.

This was as far as I could get on this before my DAW crashed and burned on me (long story). I would have like to do further work with the arrangement with filter sweeps and fades as well as further work on the EQ, dynamics, and mastering.
